Internship and skill enhancement opportunities in India.
The International Cooperation Department of the branch recommends professors, staff, doctoral candidates, and independent researchers to participate in internships and skill enhancement courses under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program. This program was established by the Government of India as a bilateral assistance program by the Cabinet decision on September 15, 1964. The duration of the program can range from 1 week to 3 months. All expenses (visa fees, round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, travel, and daily allowances) are covered by the program. A good command of English is required. No certificate is needed. Applications can be submitted year-round.

The application is submitted online through the website. If your application is accepted, the status will change to "accepted," and you will be invited for an interview. When attending the interview, you must print all applications in paper form and present them to the program commission. During the interview, you will be asked about yourself, your purpose for participating in the program, questions related to India, and several other inquiries. You will also be required to write a brief about yourself and your interests. If you pass the interview, you will apply for a visa and meet with the Indian ambassador in Uzbekistan. After all documents are processed, you will travel to India.
