In his scientific work, Professor Praveen Malla analyzes Paul Downs’ book “Boss Life: Surviving My Own Small Business.” He evaluates the book not as an ordinary memoir, but as a unique methodological source for studying small business. For one year, Downs documented the daily activities of his small furniture company, openly highlighting issues such as cash flow problems, relationships with employees, resistance to innovation, psychological pressure, and the need for adaptation.
