Expanding Partnerships: TDIU Samarkand Branch Signs a New Memorandum with IAMO
During the official meetings at the Berlin Forum, the Director of the TDIU Samarkand Branch, Professor Olim Murtazaev, signed a cooperation memorandum with one of Germany’s leading research centers — IAMO (Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Development in Transition Economies).
This memorandum marks another significant agreement reached at the Berlin Forum, confirming the steady expansion of the branch’s international academic and research collaborations.
The cooperation covers the following key areas:

Joint research on agricultural economics, sustainable development, and food security;

Internships and research placements at IAMO’s laboratories and scientific units;

Joint academic supervision at the Master’s and PhD levels;

Organization of joint seminars, conferences and training programs;

Submission of joint applications for international grant projects.
Work on preparing a proposal for a new joint scientific project will begin soon.
This memorandum will contribute to elevating the quality of research in agricultural economics in Uzbekistan and significantly expand opportunities for international scientific cooperation and knowledge exchange.
