One in every three women worldwide experiences physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. In order to eradicate such crimes, USAID helps countries around the world develop legislation aimed at addressing violence against women, including domestic violence, rape, and human trafficking. These efforts aim not only to improve the health of those affected by violence but also to create opportunities for them to become advocates for change in this area. The fight against violence towards women and children and its prevention, both internationally and at the national level, is a critical part of ensuring human rights and gender equality on a global scale.
In our country, various educational events are held against violence towards women, where the general public is informed about the essence of gender equality, the work being done in this field, and the changes made to the legislation.
Fostering intolerance towards all forms of violence among the population, especially among young people, is a vital condition for eliminating violence against women. It is essential to work with the youth to enhance legal culture and explain the priority of the right to life and personal security for all citizens, regardless of gender.
